So basically, this is what my university had been dealing with the past two weeks. As of writing this entry, we've had another alert that contained three, count 'em, T H R E E bomb threats for different building, so technically the count is up to 16.

There's a reward being offered for whoever unveils the culprit but like...each bomb threat has cancelled and disrupted COUNTLESS classes and tests. For each threat that the Cathedral of Learning gets, it takes at least two hours to re-open the building because the Cathedral has 40 floors and they carefully check them all. And, considering the size of the Cathedral, you can bet that at any day during the school week, it contains the most on-going classes.

I, personally, have had 6 classes disrupted/cancelled due to bomb threats, which is ridiculous. And what has the University done about it? So far; nothing. I've been hearing rumors about them trying to change finals somehow, but honestly, at this point, I want to make it through a week without missing a class.

And to be quite honest, I would also like to not be afraid of my campus or the Cathedral(where I have 5/6 of my classes). It's gotten to the point where I literally go to campus for class and then come right back to my apartment. Which is bad because I've been putting off research I need to do for a paper and research I need to do for my Directed Research this semester simply because I don't feel safe on campus.


It's just ridiculous and I had to get out my thoughts somewhere where I didn't feel silly or dumb for thinking this way ;(

Underwhelming!

I'm 99.999% sure that my thyroid is messing with my body again (for those who don't know, I have an underactive thyroid) because A: My doctor told me to stop taking my medication about 5 months ago because my thyroid was 'okay', which apparently was very wrong!!! and B: I've been averaging over 10 hours of sleep PER NIGHT without even trying :|

I feel like I did before I found out my thyroid was messed up which is basically like being on a permanent crash from a sugar high :\ it sucks and I'm super lethargic and it's so annoying because I actually am hanging out with people more, but it's hard because I've been so exhausted and sapped of energy =_= Also, since I've been super tired, I have no energy to exercise, which sucks a lot since I was kind of on a roll for a couple weeks ;( AND I've been ingesting more caffeine than I probably should to combat my sleepiness so :||| that's not good either.


ANYWAY, I hope y'all are well and doing better than my tired ass, lmao ♥

Soooo, I started doing the 30 day shred yesterday and just finished my second...session? workout and it's pretty cool!

Level one is definitely a nice work out and I'm glad to say that I'm decently sore and that it totally reminds me of the dryland stuff I used to do for swimming so *_* It's fun. the only thing that sucks about it, imo, is that you essentially do the same thing for 10 days, and then move up to something new...but then you do that for 10 days...but then move up one more time! and do that for 10 days :|

Granted, I'm sure that this is definitely going to help me lose some weight(though tbh, I'm more into losing inches than weight) and I'm not looking at it as a ~magical~ weight loss thing, but more of something that I can do every day that will really get me back into working out on a regular basis. I took a picture of myself yesterday and I kinda curious to see what kind of change will happen after 30 days(especially since I've dealt with shitty trainers and crap diets and the like(

But mostly I'm wondering about what I'm going to do after the 30 days are up .__. Like...do you just keep doing level 3 or is there a 30day shred part 2, the 60 day shred???? Think I'm gonna have to look into that or just dl a new workout dvd by Jillian lmao

I suppose I should finally post here after the new year and because I finally got a dreamwidth, heh.

I'm kind of excited for this upcoming semester, even though it isn't my last semester like I would have thought say, 3 years ago. It's weird thinking that I'm a senior in college and that my life has taken a drastic 360 in what I want to do after school, but I'm actually grateful that it has. I'm a different person now than I was my freshman year, but I honestly think that change makes you stronger so I'm not complaining about that. It's just. I'm growing up kind of fast and have so many things that I want to go out and do, but I just have to get my degree first.

I feel like this is something that will be bugging me until December when I DO graduate but. Well, it's a new semester and I feel like I always have something to bitch about at the beginning of semesters, lol.

Plus I have a super packed schedule with four linguistics classes(well, technically three since the fourth is just directed research), Korean 3 second semester (which reminds me, I uh, started translating for some DBSK sites because I'm actually good enough ;;! Kind of cool and exciting imo T_T;!), and then a Korea Intro Through Films class that I'm REALLLLY excited for. It's a jam-packed semester with lots of reading and writing, but I'm just gonna push through and do my hardest so!
